We live electric, too

We own
Teslas.

We understand home charging from both sides of the installation. That means practical advice about what your vehicle and routine actually need—not simply the largest circuit possible.

of added range per charging hour from a 20-amp, 240-volt Tesla setup.

Charging speed varies by vehicle, charger, circuit, temperature, and battery conditions.

Charging safety

Built for hours
of continuous load.

EV charging can run for hours. Loose connections, worn receptacles, undersized wiring, or mismatched equipment can build heat during every session.

  • Panel capacity and load review
  • A dedicated, correctly sized circuit
  • Listed equipment suited to the location
  • Testing, commissioning, and permit guidance

Good questions, straight answers

Before you
plug in.

Your charger, panel, route, and parking location all matter. Here are the questions we hear most often.

Ask an electrician
Do I need an electrical panel upgrade?+

Not always. We review the existing service and charging load first. A smaller circuit, charger power sharing, or load-management equipment may be more practical than replacing the panel.

Can you install the charger I already purchased?+

Yes, provided it is listed for the application and compatible with the vehicle, circuit, and installation location. Send the model information with your estimate request.

Should I choose an outlet or a hardwired charger?+

A NEMA 14-50 outlet offers plug-in flexibility. A hardwired charger removes the receptacle connection, works well for frequent charging, and may support higher charging capacity. We compare both for your property.

Can you install outdoor or detached-garage charging?+

Yes. We plan the equipment, wiring method, mounting, and protection around the actual exposure, distance, and route to the parking location.

Can one electrical service support two EVs?+

Often, yes. Depending on the service and vehicles, options may include two circuits, charger power sharing, or load management that limits demand when the property is using more power.

Do you repair existing EV chargers?+

Yes. Buckeye Charger provides installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance for residential and commercial charging equipment.
